Year 2 Launch Event
On the 21st May 2009 at the George Hotel in Huntingdon, the launch of Year 2 of the Micro Coaches programme took place. The theme for the day was “999 - Emergency Support and Services for Social Enterprises”, with funders, support and service providers on hand to explain what they had to offer Social Enterprises in these economically challenging times. With nearly 40 participants attending the event, the mood was upbeat and optimistic that the sector had the resilience and entrepreneurial impetus to ride out the recession. Key note speaker Kally Barot from Capacitybuilders was ably supported by Paul Henry of Business Link, Anne Tunnicliffe from Futurebuilders and Nikki DiGiovanni The Micro Coaches Programme Manager from CCORRN. Additional one to one advice was on hand from "Charity Bank", "Exemplas", " Futurebuilders", "Business Link East" and "Micro Coaches" and each delegate received a Mitigating the Bite of the Credit Crunch - Resource Pack.
